SSIE 2019 – IEEE Italy Section Summer School on Information Engineering
Brixen, Italy, July 8-12 2019

SSIE will be held from the 8th to the 12th of July, 2019, in the beautiful town of Brixen (Bressanone) in the Italian alps. The school this year will be technically endorsed by IEEE Italy (5 chapters) and will be centered on the application of machine learning to ICT applications, touching upon theoretical developments, bioengineering/biomedical applications, engineering of movement, sensing and telecommunications systems and cyber-security, among others.

The speakers are prominent experts in their field and the program is truly rich and exciting. Besides other things, there will be a student workshop (one full afternoon), where PhD students will have an opportunity to present their recent/ongoing work. The best presentation will be awarded by IEEE Italy section. PhD students will earn 5 ECTS credits.

La nostra Sezione è risultata vincitrice del premio 2016 Region 8 Outstanding Large Section Award. La cerimonia di premiazione ha avuto luogo a Stoccolma nel corso della riunione della Region 8, il 25 marzo scorso. Il premio è frutto di un grande lavoro di squadra degli officer passati e presenti, i chapter chair, i responsabili delle commissioni ma anche di tutti i volontari che hanno contribuito ad ottenere questo importante riconoscimento.
