‘China Start’ Business Immersion Program Offers Global Startups A Path Into China

China Start, a one-week China immersion program for global startups and scale-ups looking to build businesses within the country, is announcing that it’s accepting applications for its sixth cohort, which will take place May 20-24, 2019 in the cities of Chengdu, Shanghai and Shenzhen in China.

High-potential, globally minded executives, entrepreneurs and investors, who see their team or organisation’s future strategy closely aligned with the growing opportunities presented in China, are encouraged to fill out applications before May 2nd, 2019.

China Start is a flagship program held by the esteemed Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) headquartered in Beijing with an overseas office in London. CKGSB boasts over 11,000 alumni, more than 50% of whom hold CEO or Chairman level positions at leading companies, and one-fifth of China’s most valued brands are led by CKGSB alumni, including graduates such as Alibaba CEO Jack Ma and Co-founder of Tencent, Chen Yidan. This close connection to the school and its alumni provides global entrepreneurs a unique opportunity to engage with the most influential leaders across all business sectors.

The upcoming 6th cohort participants will visit successful enterprises and technology accelerators in Shanghai, Chengdu and “China’s Silicon Valley,” Shenzhen, including top firms such as Tencent, Fosun Group, 3Nod, Chinaccelerator and Techcode. The program also features multiple opportunities for startups to pitch over 300 -600+ high-level investors, including Silicon Valley Bank, Sequoia Capital, Fosun Group, CITIC Group and many more.

To date, China Start has successfully conducted five cohorts and brought together 125 participants from 25 countries spanning more than 40 industries.
