Newest 3D Printing & Photo boot technology unveiled at CES Las Vegas

A clothes folding machine, a 3D avatar photo booth and Kuri the home robot were just some of the cool new tech trends that were showcased this year at the annual exhibition.

Laurent Thomas, Commercial Director of Exsens, explained his latest gadget: “It’s a 3D photo booth. This one is a model which enables to create your digital double. So it takes one second to get 400 pictures taken at the same time, and then we get a software treatment that generates your avatar within an application and it takes about six minutes to get your avatar ready to be animated within this application.”

Mayfield Robotics CEO Mike Beebe introduced Kuri the robot: “Kuri is an adorable home robot. I like to say that she is a spark of light in your home. One of the things that occurred to us, which is my favourite feature, is, she drives around, and when she sees a great moment happening, she’ll grab it, and take a five second snippet, and put it up, and you can see it through the app.”

CES is an annual electronics and technology trade fair, showcasing consumer electronics and technology from global producers since 1967. Based at the Las Vegas Convention Centre since 1998, the show has been the first to present multiple seminal products including the video cassette recorder, compact disc player, as well as tablets and android devices.
