Jr. Data Science & Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for bright, enthusiastic candidates who are keen on data science and are just embarking on their professional careers. We are offering an exciting position at our young and vibrant startup where we are designing a new virtual way to improve and innovate the way in which fashion products are designed, customized and produced and are working on an exciting international project about Artificial Intelligence for Fashion and Retail. 

You will assist our dynamic and growing team in testing ideas, developing rapid prototypes and analyzing results. The role will incorporate machine learning, and advanced analytical and statistical techniques applied to our Virtual Retail Platform and Real Time Fashion System. 

This Data Scientist internship role is ideal for someone who is inquisitive, likes to solve problems and who thrives in a startup environment. 

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Qualified in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning / AI

  • Curiosity in the latest methodologies currently used by other industries in the Big Data space (e.g. Machine Learning).

  • Self-starter, results oriented and able to work under minimal guidance

  • Capacity to innovate and think creatively 

  • Experience with Python, R, Java and/or MATLAB

  • Preferable experience with IBM Bluemix

  • Create algorithms and simulation models using data analysis programming languages
