Top ICT Giants Recognize the Innovation Behind Virtual Retail

Microsoft promotes ELSE Corp to BizSpark Plus, while IBM grants access to Global Entrepreneur Program and BizBang participation

Milan, June 9, 2017: The run-up to ELSE Corp’s upcoming launch onto the market, so far, has been action-packed, with a lot of pivotal achievements, game changing investments and loans, new clients and strategic partnerships, crucial internal accomplishments and an ever-growing team. Bearing this in mind, a technological boost has come to the startup at just the right time.

ELSE Corp, an Italian B2B startup based in Milan and focused on Virtual Retail, was founded in 2014 and is incubated by the PoliHub Startup District & Incubator by Fondazione Politecnico di Milano. For the last two years, the startup has had access to Microsoft’s BizSpark Program and benefits immensely from its Azure Smart Cloud, as their E.L.S.E. Cloud SaaS platform is entirely built on it. Recently, thanks to PoliHub’s belief in the startup, they have been elevated to the next level with access to Microsoft’s BizSpark Plus, which Microsoft offers to high-potential startups. This means ELSE Corp now has access to up to $120k credits for the Azure Smart Cloud services. The support from the ICT giant will help ELSE Corp accelerate the go to market of their E.L.S.E. Cloud platform applications and 3D Services.

While the Microsoft provides support for the startup’s main cloud based platform E.L.S.E.; their Artificial Intelligence ambition have been satisfied by the other ICT giant, IBM. The startup participated in the BizBang Program selection, organized by IBM Italy in partnership with Fashion Technology Accelerator, which has also given them access to the IBM Global Entrepreneur Program. Gaining access to the Program equips the startup with a high number of IBM Bluemix Cloud credits and the go-to-market support, business mentorship, services, discounts, technical guidance and networking opportunities needed to accelerate the startup’s solution to market. Access to Watson APIs in particular brings a world of advantages to the startup and their Real-Time Fashion System which is an AI and Machine Learning based vision for a new product design process for companies and independent designers; predicting individual needs & product demand while positively impacting the fashion industry.

This recognition, technological and strategic assistance from Microsoft and IBM, towards ELSE Corp’s efforts to innovate the fashion industry are a testament to the startup’s progress and achievements and the startup hopes, will be just the boost they need to continue on their trajectory to success and the redefinition of the fashion industry.
